In this advanced program you will have the opportunity to gain deeper insights into the “fine art” of Mediation, with presentations from two active mediation practitioners as well as from a strong advocate of the mediation tool – Bankruptcy Judge James J. Tancredi

Hon. James J. Tancredi – Best pre-mediation practices; Confidentiality in mediation proceedings; Mediator immunity; compelled mediation; Other innovations.

David Shaiken – Ethics in mediation; “Telling the truth”; The importance of listening, and how to do it; Dealing with deadlock; Mediator follow-through if no settlement achieved.

Thomas Gugliotti – The differences in settling a Sec. 523 or Sec. 727 claim; What the advocates need to consider; What the Mediator should do to prepare.
